There is still time to drop off your slightly used Prom dresses, shoes and accessories for Cinderella’s Closet.  A blue bin is in the school foyer where you can place your items.  ______________________________ We have an update from the Emergency Cold Shelter after we made our donation from the CSW Volleyball game and Penny War. Congratulations to the Archery Pandas for a very successful tournament at Calvary Christian Academy this past weekend. The team shot 3078 which included 149 tens. For Hope Week, Stickers with positive messages promoting wellness and good mental health were available during lunches today. If you didn't get a sticker, you can pick one up tomorrow before school. Don't forget tomorrow is a dress down day for $3 that goes toward Ethan's Purpose, a local organization that works to raise awareness surrounding suicide prevention by offering QPR training to parents and students, group counseling in the schools, and providing scholarships to students who support the cause. This week in Black History Month we celebrate amazing black performers! To catch us up, we will mention two today: Regina King and Beyonce. Regina King is a top-tier actress who has a new film coming out soon - Shirley. In this film, Regina Kings plays Shirley Chisholm, who in 1972, was the first black candidate for the Presidency. Happy Monday and Happy HOPE Week! The Black American author and poet we celebrate today is Amanda Gorman. She was born in 1998, so she is now 25 years old. While she was an award-winning writer at Harvard, Gorman became the first person to be named National Youth Poet Laureate. Gorman rose to fame in 2021 for writing and delivering her poem "The Hill We Climb" at President Joe Biden’s inauguration; you can listen to this poem by clicking the QR code on the display case.
