Whether you are a computer wizard, budding artist, a musician, a theatre buff, an athlete, or you are just looking for something fun to do this summer, Notre Dame Academy has all sorts of opportunities for you!

Junior High Summer Art Camp
This year, the process that we will be going over will lead students to design their own standard sized skateboard deck. Students will work on creating original ideas that they will bring to life on their own skateboard deck.
Who: Any current 6th, 7th, and 8th Grader (Limit 24 students per session)
What: Students will design their own skateboard deck using a variety of techniques including using spray paint, paint markers, sharpie markers, tracing paper.
When:
Session A: Monday, July 15th – Wednesday, July 17th, 9 am – 11am
Session B: Monday, July 15th – Wednesday, July 17th, 12 pm – 2 pm
Where: The Art Studio at Notre Dame Academy
Cost: $90 per student and includes instruction, studio costs, supplies, skateboard, t-shirt

High School Summer Art Sessions
Week 1: July 8 – 12 – 3D or NOT 3D
Students will be creating works in 3D mediums including clay, plaster, found objects and mold making mediums. NOTE: Works in clay will take a week or so to dry, so students taking JUST this week of class may need to come back in a later week to collect projects.
Week 2: July 15 – 19 – TEXTILES!!!
Students will be shifting studios and take on a week of Textiles. In Textiles class students will be creating the Zipper Bag and will start with an introduction to the machine and sewing and learning decorative stitches.
Week 3: July 22 – 26 – Painting and Printmaking
Students will be experimenting with different styles of painting depending on their level and will also be experimenting with different types of printmaking that may vary between screenprinting, blockprinting and gel printing.
Week 4: July 29 – August 2 – Drawing and Mixed Media Skateboard Design
Students will be working using reference material to create drawings on the front and back of a skateboard deck. Techniques included will be prepping a surface, creating an interesting surface to work on, drawing from a grid, using regular pencils and colored pencils and basic concepts in composition.

2026 Junior High Summer Studio Art Class
Exploring Creative Art Mediums: June 22 – 26
This one-week art camp is designed to give 6th, 7th and 8th-grade students the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic mediums while nurturing their creativity and expanding their artistic skills. Each day will focus on a different medium, starting with traditional drawing and progressing through markers, chalk pastels, watercolor, and acrylics. Students will learn how to manipulate each medium to bring their imagination to life, all while experimenting with different art themes and subjects inspired by famous artists and pop culture. Through guided instruction, hands-on practice, and individual creative projects, campers will develop their artistic abilities and confidence. Each day’s lesson will culminate in a take-home project, providing students with a portfolio of work to showcase their progress. Register HERE.
2026 High School Summer Art
Sculpture & 3D Design Camp: July 13 – 17
This one-week summer camp invites creative students to dive into the exciting world of sculpture and three-dimensional design. Throughout the week, students will experiment with a variety of materials—such as wire, armature foam, cardboard, clay, wood, and found objects—to build original 3D artworks. They will explore construction methods, additive and subtractive sculpture techniques, surface finishing, and how to transform concepts into fully realized dimensional pieces. By the end of the week, each student will complete multiple sculptural studies and one polished final sculpture to display during a celebratory end-of-week showcase. Register HERE.
2026 NDA Textiles Summer Camp
Where: Room 351 on 3E
Dates: July 20 – 24
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost: $100
For: Grades 6, 7, 8 for 2026-2027 school year
Description: Join us for a fun and creative week of sewing at NDA! During the first day, students will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, including how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, sew a seam, and properly press fabric. As the week continues, campers will build their skills and confidence while completing beginner-friendly projects such as a scrunchie and a drawstring bag. They will also learn about seam allowance, fabric handling, and simple construction techniques that will help them bring their projects to life.
The signature project for the week will be a quilted tote bag, where campers will combine the skills they’ve learned to create a functional, personalized bag they can proudly use. As a special collaborative project, the class will also create a camp quilt square, with each participant sewing a piece of the square featuring a panda design. By the end of the week, campers will have several finished projects and new sewing skills to take home.

Roamin’ Through Rome: A Hands-On Classics Adventure at NDA
Where: NDA Room 111
Dates: June 1 – 4
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost: $125
For: Grade 6-8 girls for 2026-2027 school year
Description: This 4 day summer camp will be a hands-on exploration of Roman daily life, mythology, gladiators, Pompeii, and more! Learn about Roman art forms and even create your own mosaics and Roman graffiti. Dress up in togas, have a Roman banquet, learn to speak a little Latin, and live like a Roman. Have fun with the Roman gods and goddesses. Participate in an “archaeology dig” to piece together how the Romans ate and lived and learn about ancient artifacts and the ruins of Pompeii. Explore and reenact some forms of popular Roman entertainment like gladiator games and chariot races! Register HERE.

Description: Learn a band instrument this summer! All students grades 7-12 are welcome to join us this summer to learn a band instrument for FREE! Come join us and be part of the NDA/CCH Summer Learning Band ’26. We will have wind instruments you can use. Description: Campers will dive into the exciting world of robotics and coding using the Sphero BOLT! Equipped with programmable sensors and a vibrant LED light matrix, this robotic sphere offers endless opportunities for creativity and exploration. Participants will learn how to control their robot’s movement, program animations and characters on the light matrix, and even communicate with other Sphero BOLTs using infrared technology. Through hands-on challenges and games, campers will build problem-solving skills while exploring the fundamentals of robotics, coding, and STEM. Description: Get ready to dive into the amazing world of DNA, the molecule that carries the instructions for life! In this exciting hands-on science camp, campers will explore how DNA shapes who we are and how living things grow, function, and reproduce.
Throughout the camp, campers will investigate the structure and function of DNA through interactive experiments, models, and engaging activities. Campers will learn how traits are passed from parents to offspring, discover how scientists extract and study DNA, and explore how genetics influences everything from eye color to inherited diseases.

Description: Get ready to crack codes, solve riddles, and uncover hidden clues in this thrilling Escape Room Camp! Campers will work in teams to tackle puzzles, decode secret messages, and race against the clock to solve themed challenges. This year, our camp features a special Museum Heist adventure: a priceless artifact has been stolen, and it’s up to your detective team to follow clues, outsmart the thief, and retrieve the treasure before time runs out! Along the way, campers will learn about logic puzzles, secret codes, pattern recognition, and teamwork, while also having fun designing their own mini escape room puzzles.
