So much to do this summer at NDA!
Whether you are a computer wizard, budding artist, a musician, a theatre buff, an athlete, or you are just looking for something fun to do this summer, Notre Dame Academy has all sorts of opportunities for you!

Junior High Summer Art Camp
This year, the process that we will be going over will lead students to design their own standard sized skateboard deck. Students will work on creating original ideas that they will bring to life on their own skateboard deck.
Who: Any current 6th, 7th, and 8th Grader (Limit 24 students per session)
What: Students will design their own skateboard deck using a variety of techniques including using spray paint, paint markers, sharpie markers, tracing paper.
When:
Session A: Monday, July 15th – Wednesday, July 17th, 9 am – 11am
Session B: Monday, July 15th – Wednesday, July 17th, 12 pm – 2 pm
Where: The Art Studio at Notre Dame Academy
Cost: $90 per student and includes instruction, studio costs, supplies, skateboard, t-shirt

High School Summer Art Sessions
Week 1: July 8 – 12 – 3D or NOT 3D
Students will be creating works in 3D mediums including clay, plaster, found objects and mold making mediums. NOTE: Works in clay will take a week or so to dry, so students taking JUST this week of class may need to come back in a later week to collect projects.
Week 2: July 15 – 19 – TEXTILES!!!
Students will be shifting studios and take on a week of Textiles. In Textiles class students will be creating the Zipper Bag and will start with an introduction to the machine and sewing and learning decorative stitches.
Week 3: July 22 – 26 – Painting and Printmaking
Students will be experimenting with different styles of painting depending on their level and will also be experimenting with different types of printmaking that may vary between screenprinting, blockprinting and gel printing.
Week 4: July 29 – August 2 – Drawing and Mixed Media Skateboard Design
Students will be working using reference material to create drawings on the front and back of a skateboard deck. Techniques included will be prepping a surface, creating an interesting surface to work on, drawing from a grid, using regular pencils and colored pencils and basic concepts in composition.

MUSIC
LEARN A BAND INSTRUMENT
Come and join us and be part of the NDA/CH Beginners Band Summer 2024! This is the perfect opportunity for any student who has ever had a desire to learn to play an instrument. It is an awesome endeavor to learn an instrument and play with the NDA/CH Band. Students learning a second instrument are also welcome to attend. We have a number of instruments on which students can learn to play.
No prior experience needed!
Who: Grades 7-12 (Fall 2024)
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays May 30 – July 11, 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Where: The Band Room at Notre Dame Academy
Cost: FREE!

2024 NDA/CCH Theatre Showcase Camp
Give your student the gift of creativity, exploration, and self-confidence – Sign up today for the 2024 NDA/CCH Theatre Department’s Summer Camp Showcase! This theatre camp has something for everyone from singing and dancing, to acting for all experience levels. During the week, we will rehearse to prepare for a Showcase performance, which will take place on Saturday, June 15th at 3pm.
