  • Monday, Dec 13 from 3:30-6:30pm at NDA (dance, singing, and monologues)
  • Tuesday, Dec 14 at CCH from 3:30-6:30pm (singing and monologues)
  • Wednesday, Dec 15 at NDA (callbacks if needed)

Show Description:

“A musical comedy, embracing every father’s nightmare! Wednesday Addams, known for her love of darkness, has fallen in love with a sweet man from a seemingly respectable and ordinary family. As Wednesday falls in love, family members begin to find out, forcing Gomez, her father, to keep a secret from his love, Morticia. Meanwhile, Pugsley and Grandma scheme and Uncle Fester relates by finding a love of his own. Everything will change on the dreadful night the Addams host a dinner for Wednesday’s boyfriend and his ‘normal’ family. What could go wrong?” Character descriptions attached.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
  • Fill out audition form and sign up for a time slot
  • memorized 60-90sec contemporary monologue from a play, musical, or TV show (select a monologue that showcases a character with a big personality!)
  • memorized 16 bars (16 measures) of a MUSICAL THEATRE songmust bring printed SHEET MUSIC with the starting and ending of 16 bars clearly marked (we will have Mr. Masters play the piano while you sing, we will not be using an instrumental track on the speaker)
  • If auditioning for Gomez, Morticia, or featured dancer in the ensemble must attend dance call audition on Monday (if you’re hoping to be in the regular ensemble/dancing ensemble, you do not need to attend the dance call)
Schedule information:
  • Music rehearsals start in January, will be scheduled separately
  • Rehearsals Feb 3-April 1 M-F from 4-6:30pm
  • Tech April 3-5pm, Sunday 12pm-8pm, weekdays 3:30-9pm
  • Show 1 THURSDAY, April 7 at 7pm
  • No Show Friday Evening, possibly an in school show
  • Show 2 Saturday, April 9 at 7pm
  • Show 3 Sunday, April 10 at 2pm
  • Mandatory Strike Sunday, April 10 after the show till 8pm (or when we finish)

Show Info: 
  • Weekly Production Meeting on Thursdays starting Feb. 3rd.
  • Build Days on Saturdays
  • Tech and Dress Rehearsals are: Apr 2nd from 10am-8:30pm, Apr 3rd from 12-8:30pm, and Apr 4th-6th from 3:30-9pm
  • Performances are: Apr 7th-10th
Positions available for Addams Family are Stage Managers, Set Designer/Build Crew, Props Master, Backstage Run Crew, Lighting Designer/Crew, Sound Designer/Crew, Costume Designer/Crew, and Makeup Designer/Crew. If interested in any position listed above, please fill out the google form which the link is provided below.
Tech Interviews will take place on December 7th from 3:30-6:00pm at NDA. Interviews will only be needed for Designer and Assistant positions in every tech area including Stage Management and will only be about 5-10 minutes long. Please fill out the google form below and sign up for an interview slot. If the date above doesn’t work with your schedule let me know and we can figure out another time to meet!
If you are someone who also wants to audition but interested in a lead/assistant position, go ahead and fill out the form and sign up for a slot! It will not affect your placement in the show!

What you need to bring:
Yourself, a tech resume (if you have one), and your mood board (see below for more details)
Who/What is involved with the Mood Board: the mood board is just a collage of images that showcase what your vision is for the show. This can be done on a powerpoint, Pinterest, document, etc… You can be as creative as you want, there are no right or wrong answers!
  • Scenic and Lighting – ideas of color scheme, location, etc… Be creative!!!
  • Costumes and Hair & Makeup – looks for 2 characters
  • Props – 1 or 2 props
  • Sound – 1 or 2 sound effects (this you can bring for the actual interview and play on your phone, laptop or ipad)
  • Stage Management – I will provide questions for you but if you have paperwork from previous shows you are more than welcomed to bring it in!
