The Notre Dame Academy English Department proudly announces that seniors Szofia Komaromy-Hiller and Abigail Martin, students of Ms. Lynn Dickman, and junior, Hannah Good, student of Ms. Emily Sampson, have earned silver medals in the 2014 Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. Szofia won for her two writing portfolios and a humor piece; Abigail won for her writing portfolio and short story; Hannah won for persuasive writing. In addition, Abigail received the prestigious National American Voices Award and Szofia earned the Danny Miller Award, an award given to a Scholastic winner locally who has demonstrated consistent excellence in competitive writing. Congratulations to these talented students, their teachers and parents, whose instruction and encouragement have helped them hone their talents and realize well-deserved success.
