Today is the second day of Hope Week. This week Hope Squad works to break down the stigma surrounding suicide and promote positive mental health. We hope you were able to pass kindness forward today. Tomorrow during lunch, we’ll be making “We’re Rooting For You” rootbeer floats. Making a positive connection with someone to let them know you’re there is the best way to promote hope. Meaningful connections break down suicide rates by serving as a primary protective factor against the core drivers of suicidal behavior: loneliness, isolation, and a sense of being a burden. Start with a smile and check on others.
