We are so proud of how awesome the students did with the canned food drive.
NDA has partnered with St. Vincent De Paul since 2010 and they really depend on us. They use the food items that we collect to stock their shelves and they typically last them well into the spring. It feels amazing to know we can make a difference in our community. Despite all of our efforts we came up short in the competition. NCC collected around 33 items per person while we collected about 29. We beat St. Henry as they averaged around 13 items per person.
On a brighter note we collected a grand total of $13,899 items, crushing our goal of 10,000 and also breathing last year’s collection of $13,469.
Our family competition was another success. In 4th place is Pink with 2995 items. Third place is purple with 3389 items. In first place is Green with an astonishing 3889 items and following close behind was Blue with 3626 items.
It was another successful food drive this year! Thank you to all who contributed!!
