Sophomore through Senior Student Council Homeroom Reps and Grade Level Presidents have created homeroom and grade level GroupMe accounts. Student Council hopes this will be an effective means to communicate between homerooms and grade levels. Please remember that the homeroom and grade level GroupMe are an approved school communication tool. In addition:
Communication using the app should not occur during class or pose as a distraction during instructional periods; students should turn the notifications off
Cell phones are still off and away during the school day, so students cannot access the app using cell phones at school.
Content will be monitored by faculty to make sure the tool is being used appropriately.

9-9-19
Parent Mini-Night is this Wednesday evening. All parents are invited to attend, and students are asked to complete their parents' schedule for them. The schedule template has been emailed to all students. Students should make a copy and complete the schedule for their parents based on the Monday classes. Parents will need this copy when they come to school Wednesday evening.

On Thursday during the lunches, we are having a mini college fair. Denison University, Eastern Kentucky University, Transylvania University, University of Alabama Huntsville, and Winthrop University will be here. This is a great opportunity to get information about these schools. You can find out about admissions, deadlines, scholarships, and about what the school has to offer.

It will start at 3:15 and go until 4:30 pm. Stop in whenever you can! Some of the colleges that will be here include: St. Louis University, Spring Hill College, Xavier University, John Carroll University, Loyola Chicago, and Marquette University. See any of the counselors if you have questions!

Any student that wanted to participate in Teen Court and has NOT signed up in the Counseling Quad needs to do so by the end of the day. There are packets there for students to take to their first day of Teen court on September 10th at 6pm.

Remember picture day is tomorrow. Make sure to get your picture taken even if you are not ordering a package, so that you can get your new school id.
FR - JR don't forget your order forms if you will be purchasing pictures. Seniors do not order pictures on this day but are expected to take pictures for transcript purposes. Clothing should be tidy and appropriate and that of which provides proper coverage. Jeans with rips are permitted but also need to have proper coverage in exposed areas. Pants, shorts or jeans are appropriate as pictures are only head shots, and leggings are okay with a long top to provide appropriate cover. Teachers have been given the picture schedule, so you will report for pictures by class on Friday and your teachers will inform you of this tomorrow.

Club orientation information was emailed to all club and activity leaders yesterday. If you did not receive this information and feel you should have, please contact Mrs. Grayson. Club Orientation videos are due tomorrow as shared in the email.

Don't forget about the 20 question common reader assessment on Monday during homeroom.
