Great Season for NDA’s Aqua Pandas!

The Notre Dame Academy Swim & Dive team ended their season, finishing 3rd in the State Meet. The AquaPandas were led by senior Lainy Kruger who won individual titles in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, earning automatic All-American status in both events. Lainy was selected to the All-State team. Other Top 8 individual finishers were sophomores Sadie Hartig (2nd) and Claire Monahan (5th) in the 500 freestyle, and junior Riley Quinn in the 200 individual medley (7th). Top 16 individual finishers were Sadie, Claire, and freshmen Danaka Tucker and Olivia Wallace. All three relays finished 4th.

Previously, the AquaPandas won the Region 7 Championships. Lainy won individual titles in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke and was voted Outstanding Female Swimmer of the meet. Sadie won individual titles in the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Claire and Riley had two 2nd place finishes each and all three relays were winners. Lainy, Sadie, Claire, and Riley were selected to the All-Region team and the team was selected for the Outstanding Sportsmanship award. The freshmen finished 6th in the Freshman Regionals and the team finished 4th in the NKAC Championships.
The team traveled throughout Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati to compete against some of the top teams in Kentucky and Ohio. The AquaPandas defended their title at the Flying Turkey Invitational, won the Conner Cougar Classic, and finished a close second at the St. Henry Winter Classic.
