Congratulations to NDA senior Morgan Hentz on being named Gatorade’s Kentucky Player of the Year 2015-16!
While maintaining a 4.26 GPA in the classroom, the 5-foot-9 senior outside hitter and libero recorded 465 kills, 476 digs and 41 blocks this past season, leading the Pandas (33-6) to the state semifinals. A 2015-16 Under Armour First Team All-American, Hentz was named Miss Kentucky Volleyball by the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association.
Morgan is a young woman of exemplary character. She volunteers locally on behalf of an assisted living facility and a community center for underprivileged children. Morgan is a leader in the classroom and on the volleyball court.
When asked what one piece of advice she has for freshmen about being a successful high school student athlete, Morgan responded, “Make sure you learn to manage your time well and be efficient with your work. You should be working just as hard in the classroom as you are on the court.”
