Hope Squad has set up a “Gratitude Tree” in the cafeteria for you to stop by and add a leaf about what you’re grateful for. Gratitude means appreciating the good things in life, no matter how big or how small. Making the practice of gratitude a regular part of your day can build happiness, self-esteem, and provide other health benefits. Feelings of gratitude can regulate cortisol, our stress hormone, and triggers the brain to release neurotransmitters associated with happiness, including dopamine and serotonin. Each day until Thanksgiving, Hope Squad will share a gratitude exercise over the announcements for us to reflect on. What are you grateful for today?
