Notre Dame Academy is proud to announce that two of its own alumnae, Madison Salkowski and Hannah Colvin, both members of the Class of 2016, have been named co-head coaches of the Pandas volleyball program.
Both Salkowski and Colvin have been integral parts of the program in recent years. Salkowski has served as the varsity assistant coach and previously as the junior varsity head coach, while Colvin has led the junior varsity team as head coach. In addition to their recent coaching roles at NDA, both bring valuable collegiate playing experience—adding another level of expertise, leadership, and competitiveness to their new roles.
Salkowski and Colvin take over for co-head coaches Leslie Litmer and Jenna Leistner, whose dedication and leadership helped carry forward the program’s proud tradition. Notre Dame Academy extends sincere thanks to Coach Litmer and Coach Leistner for their service and the positive impact they had on countless student-athletes.
“Notre Dame Volleyball holds such a special place in my heart, and I’m beyond excited to make an impact on the program and the incredible young women I will have the privilege to lead as co-head coach alongside Madison,” said Colvin. “I look forward to upholding the tradition and legacy of NDA Volleyball, driving continued success, and creating a journey as meaningful for future players as it was for us!”
Janet Carl, Director of Athletics at Notre Dame Academy, shared her excitement about the new coaching duo. “We are thrilled to name Madison and Hannah as our new co-head coaches. As alumnae, they bring a personal connection to the program and a strong sense of what it means to be a Panda. Their recent experience coaching within the program, combined with their collegiate playing backgrounds, make them the ideal leaders to carry NDA Volleyball into its next chapter.”
The Pandas volleyball program has a storied history, including nine state championships, most recently in 2020. Under the guidance of Salkowski and Colvin, NDA looks forward to continued excellence on and off the court.
