In honor of Our Lady this Christmas, Notre Dame Academy has given our community a special gift. From the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 until January of 2013, NDA will project the image of the Madonna and Child on the side their building. The silhouette of the Blessed Mother and Baby Jesus is a beautiful devotion to Mary and the true meaning of Christmas.
There has been a strong and very positive reaction to NDA’s devotion. The school named after “Our Lady” has heard from current families, alumnae, and members of the community in regard to the Madonna and Child.
One alumna commented, “I am overjoyed with how beautiful this picture is and how proud I am that NDA had the courage to do this for the entire world to see.” A former parent sent a message saying, “A note of appreciation to you and all of NDA for the beautiful image of Mother Mary with Child on the side of your building. It is so appropriate for this season (and NDA) and a wonderful reminder to all who drive by.”
