Twenty SWAT Team members were accompanied by Mrs. Mullee and Mrs. Goldcamp to the Kings Island Conference Center on Friday, November 15, for a day of IT immersion at the 9th Annual Women in IT Conference. The conference was sponsered by Interalliance of Cincinnati.
The day began with breakfast and keynote speaker Lori Beer, Managing Director, L.A. Beer & Associates. She spoke about how technology and innovation will help achieve more affordable and higher quality healthcare. The students then participated in IT Role Sessions with an IT group leader from a major corporation. Students were split into groups of eight and were challenged with planning a successful IT workflow.
Savannah Tucker and Josie Hammon were quick to contact Interalliance while still working at the conference, to apply for an NDA Interalliance Chapter. They are currently working on this with Kyle Gundrum of Interalliance.
