Congratulations to NDA’s Student of the Month

Congratulations to Notre Dame’s November Student of the Month, Hillary Hellmann! A junior at NDA, Hillary has served as Student Council Homeroom Representative since she arrived freshmen year.  When asked what she likes the most about serving the student body, Hillary comments that it is the ability she has to make a positive change in her school.  Hillary enjoys all that Student Council does to generate school spirit, including decorating the halls for Christmas, and she feels that the spirit we share as a community lifts others up and helps them be successful.

According to her former Chemistry teacher, Mrs. Goldcamp, Hillary “shows respect to her peers, teachers and herself.”  She lends a hand to support the learning of her classmates and demonstrates personal academic excellence.

Hillary is a Homeroom Representative for LIFE Club, a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and NDA’s SWAT Team; she participates in Science Research, volunteers at Redwood serving the disabled and elderly and teaches a weekly gym class at the Notre Dame Urban Education Center.  Hillary is also a member of the varsity basketball team and is looking forward to another successful season with her fellow athletes and spirited coach.  Congratulations, Hillary!  We are proud to call you a Panda!
