NDA Senior Reflection Series
Week 9 – Julia Davis
Hello, my name is Julia Davis and I am a senior at Notre Dame Academy. When I arrived at NDA as a young freshman, I was taking notes with pen and paper and iPads were non-existent in our curriculum. For Christmas my freshman year, my father bought me an Macbook Air and I fell in love with it instantly. It had everything you could ever dream of right at your finger tips. As freshman year came to a close, the announcement that iPads would be implemented into our curriculum the next year was announced. I was definitely nervous because I had just gotten a new laptop and I wanted to use that but the iPad programming would not transfer over. I wasn’t sure of the idea of iPads but Mrs. Mullee took me under her wing and asked me to be a part of her Swat Club. I began to form a love for technology and i loved being able to share my knowledge with others that felt the same way I once did. As a senior, I am Secretary of Swat and enjoy every minute of it. I have been able to complete projects that implement new software and tools into the classroom. I have been able to watch the iPad initiative grow from the very beginning and I am blessed to have been apart of it.
