News From The Fine Arts Department

Congratulations to Katie Nacu and Anna Fister who were both selected to show their artwork in the Mount St. Joe’s High School Art Exhibition. Also, congratulations to
Erin Koeninger, Katie Nacu, Anna Fister, and Abby Thomas, who earned an ‘Honorable
Mention’, for having their artwork juried and selected to show in the Thomas More
College High School Art Exhibition. Their art will be showing in the Eva G. Farris
Gallery until early December. For information, please check out:

In other Art news, the Senior Art Students had the opportunity to visit Neusole
Glassworks and spend the day watching the Artists blow glass and the students also
had the opportunity to create their own piece of blown glass. After visiting Neusole,
the students went to visit Powerhouse Factory, a local printmaking studio, and had the
opportunity to see the studio and watch a local printmaker at work. Thanks a ton to the
artists at both Neusole Glassworks and Powerhouse Factory for letting us stop by.

Finally, in NDA Art news, there will be a new Art Exhibition in the Frances Kathryn
Carlisle Gallery, please see the included information and please stop by to check out the
work. The work will be on display, and for sale, until January 30th.
